* * * * * * * Poppy came into ARC at just 9 weeks old. She was a sweet Jack Russell, who came in due to her home dumping her on a friend and that friend had way too long working hours to keep her. She found a wonderful local home with a couple and their other dog, Paddy. 'We’re having so much fun with Poppy, she’s brilliant! Thank you so much for bringing her round to us today and for allowing us to keep her, we’re so happy to have her, she’s gorgeous. She’s been fairly quiet today, I guess it will take her a little time to settle in. Although on saying that, she is currently playing rough and tumble with Pete and loving it! We’ve been out and bought her a puppy crate, and I think we’ll put her in it tonight but we won’t shut her in. If there are too many messes on the floor tomorrow morning then we may welll reconsider but we’ll see how it goes first. I’ve also bought her some of those biscuits that you said she liked, and she does indeed like them – she certainly enjoys her food doesn’t she! :o) I’ve also bought her a lovely comfy sheepskin pillow to put in her crate for her to sleep on, and we’ve bought her a couple of those toys that you can put food inside so that will keep her entertained. In fact, she’s now running around the lounge like a mad loon chasing one of those toys trying to get the biscuits out! Oh, and I bought a puppy book that I found in the discount book shop in Chiswick, but I will also investigate the book that you have recommended so thanks for that. I’ve attached a couple of piccies for you, hope you like them!' |
