I am sending you an update and some photos, as promised. This is the story of a little black and white kitten that came to ARC in January.Last winter, we lost our beloved Abyssinian girl Emmie to cancer. She was just six years old and a gentle soul. Peter, our five year old Siberian, seemed in despair. We had to do something. In came Louie, full on, three months young and ready to play. All we knew was that his adopted family did not want to keep him. Three months later, we cannot imagine life without him. Louie and Peter began bonding almost instantly. One is a sweet, sensitive fluff ball, the other a short-haired, big-eared speed demon. They play-fight up and down the house, and eat and sleep side by side. His two little human brothers love him, too. For the first few weeks, Louie slept in the baby's playpen. He shares the boys' toys, climbs and tears down their tents and tunnels, pretends that finger puppets are mice. When he is not being wild with the boys, he follows mommy around the house. He takes naps in mommy or daddy's lap -- or the boys' buggy. It's been a happy situation all around. Louie is a loving, playful guy, and we make sure to take good care of him. We keep him up to date on his vet visits. Thank you ARC! |
