Molly, a huge Flemish Giant rabbit, came into ARC's care. She was handed in after she had attacked one of the two male rabbits with whom she lived. We found out that only one of them had been castrated, so she had been ’harassed’ constantly by the entire male. He obviously didn’t understand what NO meant, so it was little wonder that she had eventually lost patience!Molly was in fact, delightful & inquisitive, loving nothing more than pottering around the garden and occasionally leaping into the air with sheer exuberance! Being so huge, she clearly needed a very special home. A lovely girl called Annie from Hampshire saw Molly on the website and on 13th March Molly was adopted. Sadly she returned 6 weeks later after she had started to worry Annie's other rabbits. Fortunately, one of our supporters, Ewa, decided to ring her friend Pat in Liverpool, who had been involved in rabbit rescue and had written a book on the subject . After careful consideration Pat and her husband decided to adopt Molly. So on July 18th Ewa kindly drove Molly all the way to Liverpool to start her new life. She was an instant hit and has settled fantastically well in her new home. She has very spacious accommodation and is regularly allowed to run free in the garden. She even goes to Pat's back door each morning with Pat's little dog to have a biscuit! Photo Molly3 |
